Poco Lee’s management addresses ongoing UK sexual assault case

The management of Nigerian dancer and socialite, Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has addressed the ongoing sexual assault case involving the entertainer in the United Kingdom.

According to reports, Poco Lee was charged with two counts of rape and assault by penetration, with the charges confirmed by Snaresbrook Crown Court in London.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, his management urged the public to allow the legal process to run its course, stressing that Poco Lee had not been convicted of any offence and that the charges remained allegations to be determined by the court.

“Allegations are not evidence of guilt, and no conclusions should be drawn until the matter has been heard and determined through the appropriate legal process,” the statement said.

The management also addressed reports circulating online about alleged drink-spiking, clarifying that such claims were not contained in the allegations currently before the court.

“We ask the public and media to desist from introducing details that are not part of the actual case, as doing so only fuels misinformation and causes unfair prejudice to all parties involved,” it added.

Poco Lee, who is currently being held in a UK prison, is scheduled to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15 for plea and trial preparation. The hearing will mark the next stage of the proceedings.

The case follows his visit to the United Kingdom in August for the Davido and Friends event held at Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14, 2026. Poco Lee rose to prominence after appearing in Zlatan Ibile’s “Zanku (Legwork)” music video in 2018 and has since worked with artistes including Davido, Burna Boy, Olamide and Naira Marley.
