Police apprehend two suspects in kidnapping of retired AIG’s wife

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspects linked to the kidnapping of Mrs. Odumosu, wife of Retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
The suspects, identified as Agbojule Smart, 27, and Keleke Michael, 30, were intercepted early Friday, January 24, 2025, while attempting to flee Lagos State.
During interrogation, they confessed to being part of a four-member gang responsible for the abduction. Police officials revealed that two other gang members had been neutralized in an earlier encounter.
Recovered from the suspects were N2.25 million, part of the ransom payment, along with two locally fabricated rifles and 11 live cartridges.

Commending the operatives for their bravery, IGP Egbetokun urged them to sustain their efforts in combating crime nationwide.
