Police arrest man for shooting, injuring protesting students in Osun

Osun State Police Command has arrested a 32 years old man, Falomo Tolulope, who shot at some protesting students in the state.
It would be recalled that, on 27th October, 2022 at about 11am while the students of the College of Education, Ilesa were on peaceful protest, Falomo shot at the protesters with a pump action gun over an argument that ensued between him and the protesters and flee the scene.
Three of the students sustained gunshot injuries.
Osun State Police Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, in a statement in Osogbo on Thursday said the suspect was arrested at Odo Oro area, Ilesa, where he was hiding.
The gun used to perpetrate the act was recovered from him with one expended cartridge, she added.
“The Police Command under the leadership of CP Faleye Olaleye, not resting on their quest to get the suspect apprehended, expanded its investigation to the nook and cranny of the state and arrested him on 7th November, 2022 at Odo Oro area, Ilesa where he was hibernating and the pump action gun used to perpetrate the act was recovered from him with one expended cartridge,” she said.
