Police arrest Ice Prince for ‘abducting, threatening to throw officer in river’
Men of the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police have arrested musician Ice Prince on allegations of abducting, assaulting and threatening to throw a Police officer in the river.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed this in a tweet on Friday.
According to him, Ice Prince had earlier been arrested for driving a car without number plates.
“At 3am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station. He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today,” Hundeyin tweeted.
If charged to court and found guilty, Ice Prince might be sentenced to up to three years in jail.
