Police arrests two in case of missing lady who boarded BRT bus in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command, says it has arrested two suspects in the case of a lady who got missing after boarding a BRT bus in Lagos.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu on Sunday.

The lady, Oluwabamise Ayanwale, 22, was last seen after boarding a BRT bus heading to Oshodi from Chevron bus stop, Lekki on February 22, around 7pm.

“As soon as the report got to the police, investigation into the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the lady was immediately initiated.

“To ensure a speedy and diligent investigation, the Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc, mnim, psc, immediately directed the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti to take over the case.

“In the course of ongoing investigation, two suspects have been arrested and are currently helping in our investigation,” Ajisebutu said in the statement.

The PPRO assured the victim’s family they were going to get to the root of the matter.

He also appealed to anyone with useful information that would aid their investigation to come forward.

“This isolated incident notwithstanding, the Police Command is committed to protecting lives and properties of all residents of the State at all times,” he added.
