Police decorate 96 senior officers, PPRO in Kwara

The Kwara State Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Victor Olaiya, on January 6, 2025, formally decorated 96 newly promoted senior police officers at the Command’s Headquarters in Ilorin.
This promotion is a testament to the officers’ hard work and dedication to duty. It calls for accountability and greater commitment to safeguarding public safety and security in Kwara State.

CP Victor Olaiya congratulated the newly decorated officers and reminded them that the promotion comes with greater responsibilities. Quoting the adage, he said, “To whom much is given, much is expected.” He urged the officers to enhance professionalism in combating crime and fostering positive community relations in line with international best practices.
The CP also expressed gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Hashimu Salihu Argungu (DIG Rtd), mni, psc, NPM, for prioritizing the welfare of police officers.
