Police decry misrepresentation of ex-Immigration CG’s death in Abuja hotel

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has refuted claims that retired Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang, was kidnapped and murdered, urging the public to disregard unverified reports.

According to the police, Mr. Parradang checked into Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction, Abuja, on March 3, 2025, at noon, arriving in a black Mercedes Benz. He paid ₦22,000 for a one-night stay and later received a female visitor in his room. The woman departed around 4:00 PM, after which Mr. Parradang was not seen leaving his room.

Concerned about his whereabouts, a military officer friend traced him to the hotel in the early hours of March 4, 2025. Upon entering his room with hotel staff, they discovered him lifeless, seated in a chair.

Durumi Police Station officers were notified and promptly secured the scene, gathering evidence before transferring the body to the National Hospital. Investigations are ongoing, and efforts are underway to locate the female visitor.

The police urged the public and media to refrain from spreading misinformation, assuring that a thorough investigation is being conducted to determine the cause of death.

For further inquiries, the FCT Police Public Relations Office remains available for contact.
