Police nab man for allegedly cutting off friend’s ear in Lagos

The Lagos Police Command has arrested a man for allegedly cutting off the ear of a friend at the Abattoir in Agege area of the state.

It was gathered that the accused chopped off the ear over a misunderstanding that occurred between the duo in 2023.

Meanwhile, the Spokesman for the Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said that the incident happened on Monday at about 6.00 a.m.

Hundeyin said that the suspect has been detained for interrogation.

“One Abdulahi Abdul Malik of Abattoir Market reported the case to the Abattoir Police Division on Monday. The complainant said that at about 4.00 a m. same day, one Bashiru Ahmed, also of Abattoir Market, used a knife to cut off his right ear over a misunderstanding they had in 2023. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he is still being treated.

“The suspect is being detained for interrogation”, said Hundeyin.
