Police quiz pastor over alleged sex scandal in Ondo

Apostle Seyi Magnus, founder of the Light House Builder’s Network in Ondo Town, is under investigation by the police over an alleged sex scandal involving a married church member.
Magnus, 31, is accused of having an affair with Mrs. Precious Olakunle, a mother of two and member of his church, despite acting as a counsellor to her and her husband.
The issue came to light when the woman’s husband reportedly discovered the alleged relationship and raised an alarm before filing a complaint at the Enuowa Divisional Police Station in Ondo.
He also accused the cleric of involvement in rituals, prompting the transfer of the case to the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 17, Akure, for further investigation.
During interrogation, the pastor was said to have admitted to having a relationship with the woman, although he denied any involvement in rituals. He claimed he was only mediating in the couple’s marital issues.
“The pastor was alleged to have slept with the victim multiple times before the matter became known to neighbours,” police sources told reporters.
Confirming the development, the Ondo Police Public Relations Officer, Alayande Olushola, said the matter had been reported and that an investigation was ongoing.
