Police rescue 8 abducted Kogi varsity

Kwara State Police Command has rescued eight students of Confluence University of Science and Technology Osara in Lokoja, Kogi state.

WESTERN POST had reported that about 30 students were abducted on 9th of May 2024 while observing tutorial in the University.

Those rescued were; Anate Hanifat,Damisa Rasidat Ometere, Ahmed Tijani Fatimah,Obakachi Mashkurah Onyioyiza,

Others include; Oloruntoba Blessing Kemisola,Omojo Godwin, Abdulrafiu Abdulmakik Enesi and Musa Oseni.

A statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ejire Adeyemi-Toun in Ilorin on Sunday, said the Commissioner of Police, CP Victor Olaiya, acted promptly, mobilized tactical teams from the Command alongside tactical teams from the Force Headquarters, Abuja, Police Hi-Tech Intelligence assets, the Military and Local Vigilantes in a bid to rescue the victims.
