Police shoot pupil, Nation reporter in Osogbo

The Nation Newspaper correspondent in Osun State, Mr. Toba Adedeji, has been shot by a police officer.

Adedeji was shot alongside a pupil coming from school at Olaiya, Osogbo, by the overzealous policeman who wanted to disperse protesters mourning the killing of one Mr. Abiola Afolabi.

The protesters had converged on Olaiya junction to mourn the passage of Mr. Afolabi, who was killed by policemen on April 4, 2022i and was buried today (Tuesday) at Ilesa.

Adedeji is currently receiving treatment at the Osun State University Teaching Hospital.
