Popular disc jockey dies after UCL match in Lagos

Raymond Bola Browne, popularly known as DJ Ray Bee, has died after suffering a heart attack at Freedom Park, Lagos Island, shortly after watching a UEFA Champions League match between Arsenal and PSG on Tuesday night, April 29, 2025.
Browne, a respected disc jockey and entertainment promoter, was also the founder and CEO of the online radio platform BrowneHill Radio.
A close friend who witnessed the incident recounted the tragic moment:
“We were all at Freedom Park to watch the Arsenal vs PSG match. After the game, Bola Browne walked toward the toilet and suddenly collapsed from a massive heart attack around 10:30 p.m. He was rushed to St. Nicholas Hospital across the street, where doctors performed CPR, but he was later pronounced dead.”
Browne is survived by his son, siblings, and a wide circle of friends and admirers who remember him for his deep dedication to music and the arts.
