Portable refutes theft accusation, slams VeryDarkMan in diss track

By Tosin Brown –
Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has fired back at claims labeling him a thief, using a newly released diss track to address the accusations and launch a scathing attack on social media personality, VeryDarkMan (VDM).
The track appears to be a direct response to a viral song by VDM, which featured an audio clip accusing Portable of stealing a tricycle and repeatedly mocking him with chants of “Ole!” (Yoruba for “thief”) while claiming he lacked grace.
In his counter song, Portable vehemently denied ever being involved in theft and used the platform to insult VDM and his family. He rapped: “VeryDarkMan, your mother / You are a poor person / Your mother is a prostitute / Your father is a shoemaker / I take after my father / I am not a thief / Stop calling me a thief.”
The exchange is the latest in a growing feud between the two controversial figures, with both using music as a weapon in their online clash.
Portable, who is no stranger to controversy, has frequently courted headlines for his outspoken nature and brushes with the law, but remains defiant in the face of criticism.
His latest song seeks to not only defend his reputation but also discredit his rival, with harsh words aimed at VDM’s character and background.
The tension between the duo has ignited reactions across social media, with fans and critics debating the ongoing feud and Portable’s choice of language in the diss track.
