The Presidency has restated President Bola Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to promoting inclusive economic growth and implementing impactful policies designed to ease the financial hardships faced by Nigerians.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, gave the assurance on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, through a post on his verified X account, @SundayDareSD, where he outlined key government initiatives and fiscal reforms driving the administration’s agenda for economic recovery and social protection.
Dare said the Tinubu administration remains focused on improving household welfare through targeted interventions such as the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programme, which now covers 15 million households nationwide. According to him, more than ₦297 billion has been disbursed to vulnerable families enrolled through the National Social Register since 2023.
He highlighted the Renewed Hope Ward Development Programme (RH-WDEP) as a major grassroots initiative aimed at improving infrastructure, livelihoods, and social services across all 8,809 electoral wards in the country.
The government, Dare added, is consolidating existing social investment schemes, including N-Power, GEEP microloans (TraderMoni, MarketMoni, and FarmerMoni), and the Home-Grown School Feeding Programme to safeguard jobs, support small businesses, and maintain school enrolment among children.
To strengthen food security and curb inflation, the Presidency noted ongoing efforts to stabilise the prices of staple commodities through subsidised grain and fertiliser distribution, mechanisation partnerships, and strategic food reserves.
Dare also announced the creation of the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Fund (RHIF) to finance key energy, transport, and housing projects expected to lower living costs and expand employment opportunities.
On financial inclusion, he said the National Credit Guarantee Company (NCGC) is working with commercial banks to expand access to affordable credit for small businesses, women, and youth, using risk-sharing arrangements to enhance lending confidence.
