President Bola Tinubu officially resumed duties at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday.
His return follows a week-long participation in the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The president’s return was announced in a post on X (formerly Twitter) by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
At the villa, Western Post observed that President Tinubu received several guests, including the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Zach Adedeji; the Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo; and a member of the House of Representatives, James Faleke.
President Tinubu had attended the ADSW in the UAE at the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The summit, held from January 12 to 18, provided a platform for global leaders to discuss sustainable development and energy transition.
During his address on January 15, themed “From Climate Imperatives into Economic Prosperity: Bridging Africa with the Global Energy Future,” President Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2060.
He highlighted the economic opportunities climate action presents for Africa, stating:
“The fight against climate change is not merely an environmental necessity but a global economic opportunity to reshape the trajectory of our continent.”
