President Federation Cup: NFF insists on weekend finals for states, FCT

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has reaffirmed that all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) must hold the final matches of their 2025 President Federation Cup competitions on Saturday, February 22, or Sunday, February 23, 2025.
In a statement to Football Association secretaries across the states and the FCT, NFF Director of Competitions, Ruth David, emphasized: “Final matches are to be played ONLY on 22nd/23rd, except in special cases and as approved by the NFF.”
She further warned that failure to comply would result in a fine of N1,000,000 (one million naira).
The National Play-Off for this year’s competition is scheduled for March 5, with the National Draw taking place one week later.
The Rounds of 64, 32, and 16 are slated for March 19, April 2, and April 16, 2025, respectively. The quarter-finals will be held on May 3 and 4, while the semi-finals are set for May 17 and 18.
