President Ruto’s convoy kills British citizen in Nairobi
A British national was killed by a speeding motorcade transporting Kenyan President William Ruto on Thursday, according to local reports.
Videos on social media showing the hit-and-run by a government vehicle in the capital of Nairobi have caused outage in the country.
The victim has been identified as 79-year-old Edgar Charles Frederick.
Police said on Friday that the driver of the government vehicle was arrested and later released on bail, adding that investigations are underway.
