President Tinubu ahead of opposition strategies, says Keyamo
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has said President Bola Tinubu remains politically ahead of opposition figures as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
Keyamo made the assertion in a post on his verified X handle on Sunday, where he emphasised Tinubu’s experience and long history in opposition politics.
He noted that the president’s rise from the ranks of the opposition to the highest office in the country gives him a strategic advantage over rival political actors.
“The very unique thing about President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is that he fought from the deep end of opposition to become President of Nigeria,” Keyamo wrote.
According to him, many of the strategies currently being adopted by opposition parties were originally shaped by Tinubu during his years in opposition.
“Every step the opposition takes today and every strategy they adopt is from the playbook of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he added.
The minister further maintained that Tinubu remains significantly ahead of his political rivals in terms of strategy and experience.
“You cannot beat the master at his own game; you cannot outfox the man who taught almost all of us how to play opposition politics; he is 100 steps ahead of all of them,” he said.
