President Tinubu approves Ibadan-Ife-Ilesa Road rehabilitation

…as Adeleke hails timely intervention

President Bola Tinubu has approved the release of an intervention fund for the rehabilitation of the dual carriage Ibadan-Ife-Ilesa Expressway.

The announcement was made on Friday during the coronation ceremony of the Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup.

President Tinubu, who was represented by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, noted that the road project will enhance economic vitality and improve inter-state connectivity.

According to him, “the President has approved the intervention fund for the rehabilitation of the Ibadan-Ife-Ilesa expressway.”

In his remarks, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, commended President Tinubu for the approval of the contract for the reconstruction of the road.

He described the decision as a timely action by the President, noting that the poor condition of the road has severely affected the economy of Osun and neighboring states.
