President Tinubu arrives in Accra to attend inauguration of John Mahama

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Accra, Ghana, to attend the inauguration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama.He was received by the Chief of Staff to the President of Ghana, Julius Debrah.
The President departed Lagos for Accra on Monday via the presidential wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport at about 4:10 p.m.
Western Post reported that the trip follows an invitation from Mahama, who met with President Tinubu in Abuja last month.
President-elect Mahama is scheduled to be sworn in on January 7.
Mahama, who previously served as Ghana’s 12th President from 2011 to 2017, was reelected in December 2024 and will succeed President Nana Akufo-Addo, whose tenure ends in 2025.
