President Tinubu arrives Kano on condolence visit to Dantata family

President Bola Tinubu arrived in Kano on Friday afternoon for a condolence visit to the family of the late elder statesman and industrialist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.

Presidential Jet 001 touched down at the Aminu Kano International Airport at approximately 3:30 p.m., where the President was received by Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and other top government officials. Senate President Godswill Akpabio accompanied President Tinubu on the visit.

The President’s itinerary in Kano includes a visit to the Dantata family residence and meetings with government officials and community leaders to extend his sympathies on behalf of the federal government.

Alhaji Aminu Dantata, a renowned businessman and philanthropist, passed away in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on June 28, 2025, at the age of 93.

At the time of his death, President Tinubu was abroad but had directed a ministerial delegation—led by the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru—to attend the burial rites held in Saudi Arabia.
