President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu have congratulated Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on his 60th birthday, praising his dedication to public service and the continued growth of Lagos State.
In a statement by Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga on Wednesday, President Tinubu commended Sanwo-Olu’s leadership, describing him as a committed public servant whose achievements align with the long-term vision for Lagos.
“Your execution of this vision is demonstrated through landmark projects such as the completion of the Blue and Red Rail lines and the ongoing Purple Line, which will serve the Lekki corridor,” Tinubu said.
The President encouraged the Governor to sustain his development strides, particularly on major projects like the Fourth Mainland Bridge and the Freedom Way to VGC Road.
Sanwo-Olu, the sixth democratically elected governor of Lagos, started his political journey under Tinubu’s mentorship. He previously served as MD/CEO of the Lagos State Property Development Corporation and as a commissioner in multiple ministries.
Tinubu concluded with prayers for Sanwo-Olu’s continued good health, strength, and more years of impactful leadership for Lagos and Nigeria.
Similarly, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu described the governor as an exemplary leader whose dedication has made a difference in the lives of Lagos residents.
“I join your family, associates, and well-wishers to celebrate you. May you be blessed with more wisdom, strength, and divine health to fulfill your God-ordained purpose,” the First Lady said in her goodwill message.
