President Tinubu mourns Ondo SSG Temitayo Oluwatuyi

President Bola Tinubu has expressed heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Ondo State following the death of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Temitayo Oluwatuyi.

Oluwatuyi, fondly called “Tukana,” passed away on January 4, 2025, due to injuries sustained in a car accident on December 15, 2024.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu commiserated with Oluwatuyi’s family, friends, and political associates. He lauded Oluwatuyi’s contributions to Ondo State, describing him as a committed and exemplary public servant.

Oluwatuyi was first appointed SSG in 2020 by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and later reappointed by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. Before his role as SSG, he served as Chairman of Akure South Local Government and Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, earning widespread respect for his dedication to governance and community development.

President Tinubu also acknowledged Oluwatuyi’s significant role in strengthening democracy in Ondo State, highlighting his efforts in policy coordination and implementation, which contributed to the state’s growth.

The President offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Oluwatuyi’s soul and divine comfort for his family and associates during this difficult time.
