President Bola Tinubu will commemorate his 73rd birthday on Friday with a special prayer session at the National Mosque in Abuja.

This was contained in a statement on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

The prayer gathering, coming a day before his official birthday on Saturday, will serve as an occasion for spiritual reflection and supplication for Nigeria’s progress and stability.

Given that his birthday coincides with the holy month of Ramadan, the President is choosing a solemn observance over elaborate celebrations. He is expected to use the opportunity to express gratitude to God for preserving him in his leadership role and to seek divine guidance for the nation’s future.

“As I mark another birthday and look forward to our second anniversary, my heart is filled with renewed hope for Nigeria,” President Tinubu said. “I urge all citizens to pray for divine guidance, unity, and healing for our land. Together, we shall overcome challenges and build a nation where every citizen thrives.”

The prayer session highlights Tinubu’s belief in the power of collective supplication and his commitment to Nigeria’s spiritual and moral well-being. He encourages Nigerians to join the prayers in their respective places of worship, reinforcing a sense of national unity and shared destiny.

With just two months until his administration marks its second anniversary, the President reaffirmed his commitment to economic recovery, national security, and democratic consolidation. He also expressed appreciation to Nigerians for their continued support, pledging to work tirelessly to expand opportunities and foster national cohesion.
