By Kunle Sanni –

Ahead of the July 12 local council elections in Lagos State, Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, has called on residents to turn out in large numbers and vote for candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday, Dada encouraged Lagosians to support APC candidates, describing them as “dedicated individuals” committed to bringing the Renewed Hope Agenda to life at the grassroots level.

“These are dedicated individuals who are ready to bring the #RenewedHope Agenda to life at the grassroots, making a difference in your streets, markets, and neighborhoods,” he stated.

He emphasized the importance of voter participation, urging the electorate to build on the progress already made in the state.

“Your vote matters. Let’s build on the progress. Let’s keep Lagos moving forward. Vote APC all the way!” the post read.

The local government elections in Lagos are expected to play a critical role in shaping the direction of governance and development at the community level, with political parties ramping up efforts to mobilize support.

The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has scheduled the LG polls for July 12, 2025, covering elections in 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs), 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), and 376 ward-level seats—including 57 chairmanship and 376 councillorship positions.
