Prominent Oyo traditional ruler passes away

The Ologuro of Igbo-Orita in Ogo-Oluwa local government area, Oyo State, Oba Joshua Oyerinde Beyioku, has joined his ancestors.
Beyioku died on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
A close member of the traditional ruler, Justina Adamu, confirmed the death of the traditional ruler in a statement during the week.
“Announcing the transition to eternal glory of Kabiyesi HRM, Ologuro of Igbo Orita in Ogo-Oluwa LG of Oyo State, Oba Joshua Oyerinde Beyioku, which occurred on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
“Burial programme to be announced later after due rites and official consultations.”
Beyioku ascended the throne of his forefathers a few years ago after returning from the northern part of the country. He succeeded the late Oba Amos Alade Oyedokun Olawuyi Durotolu I.
