A protester in Osun State, Mrs. Lateef Kadijat, has expressed her frustration with the current state of governance in Nigeria, urging the government to take immediate action to address the suffering of citizens.

Kadijat, who is in her late 60s, made an emotional plea, stating, “I joined this protest because it is worthy to join and tell the government to put an end to bad governance. I plead with the Nigerian leadership to do well, to reduce the fuel price; this suffering is too much.”

She highlighted the devastating impact of the current economic situation on ordinary Nigerians, saying, “Many people have died, many people cannot afford to buy food, people are hungry, dying of hunger.”

She also alleged that rice initially meant for distribution among the general populace is being hoarded and later sold back to the same people.

Protesters have taken to the streets to demand improved governance and economic relief. Their demands include the reversal of the fuel subsidy removal, a halt to the devaluation of the naira, and improved governance at all levels.
