Speaking with journalists, the convener of Nigerians for Good Governance, Wole Adedapo, called for the reversal of the fuel subsidy removal, a halt to the devaluation of the naira, and improved governance at all levels.

Adedapo criticized the Federal Government’s policies, stating they have led to widespread poverty and hunger. He also criticized the Osun State Government for failing to utilize increased allocations to improve the lives of citizens.

Adedapo warned that if the Government fails to heed the demands of the people, the situation may escalate into chaos, citing the recent unrest in Kenya as an example.

The protest is scheduled to last for ten days, with a review planned in Osun due to the Osun-Osogbo festival.

During the protest, security agents were strategically positioned throughout the area to ensure the safety of the protesters and maintain law and order.
