Purported FIFA letter on Nigeria is fake, says NFF

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has denied reports that FIFA demanded clarification over alleged government interference in its affairs.
In a statement on Tuesday, the NFF described a purported FIFA letter circulating in the media as fake, adding that FIFA had already accepted the resignations of former NFF officials.
The denial came as National Sports Commission officials and Nigerian football stakeholders met FIFA President Gianni Infantino in Zurich. The delegation was led by NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko and Director-General Bukola Olopade, with former NFF President Amaju Pinnick also present.
The meeting reportedly focused on restructuring Nigerian football and recent leadership changes following the resignation of NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau and his executive committee.
The NFF said the alleged letter, which claimed Gusau resigned on presidential orders, was not issued by FIFA.
