The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Iwo Federal Constituency, Osun State, on Saturday held a special prayer for the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and immediate-past governor of the state, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, at Old Iso Pako in Iwo.

The prayer session was held by the youth wing of the party in collaboration with the forum of ward chairmen during their first annual Ramadan Lecture.

Muslim faithful at the event used the occasion to pray for wisdom for Asiwaju Tinubu in piloting the affairs of the country as the next president.

They also prayed for victory for Oyetola as he awaits the Supreme Court’s verdict on the July 16, 2022 governorship election in the state.

The Guest Lecturer at the event, Ustadh Omotayo Apo, stated that everyone must be positive in their thinking and expectation from their life endeavours to attain greater success in life.

Apo said the different positive statements like “Emilokan,” “A maa dibo, A maa wole” made by the President-elect were backed by God for fulfilment.

In his remarks, Chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Tunde Rahman, Media Aide to the President-elect, emphasised the need for Nigerians to sustain their prayers for Tinubu and Oyetola, saying prayer is never too much.

He said both President-elect Tinubu and Oyetola are products of prayers as demonstrated in the lofty heights they have attained and outstanding achievements they have recorded in their lives.

Represented by Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a former Special Adviser on Civic Engagement to Oyetola, Rahman encouraged the party members to keep the flag flying, praying that Munificent Allah would give the party victory at the apex court.

In their remarks, Alhaji Debo Badru, Mayegun Musulimi of Iwoland, and the State APC Secretary, Alhaji kamorudeen Alao, urged Muslim faithful to continue to pray for the President-elect and Nigeria as a whole.

The occasion attracted a large number of dignitaries from all works of life, especially Muslim Ummah who offered special prayers for the President-elect Tinubu and Oyetola.

They prayed for good health for both of them, and particularly for orderly and peaceful transfer of power to the President-elect on May 29 and resounding victory for Oyetola at the Supreme Court.
