Ramaphosa’s inauguration: Tinubu departs Lagos for South Africa

President Bola Tinubu has departed Lagos for Pretoria, South Africa to partake in the inauguration of Cyril Ramaphosa as President.

According to a report by the News Agency of Nigeria, the Tinubu departed at 11.06 a.m at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja.

The presidency had announced that president Tinubu was to attend the inauguration of the re-elected South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Ajuri Ngelale, who is the special adviser to the President on media and publicity in a statement he issued on Monday disclosed that the President will return to Nigeria after the ceremony.

The Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other dignitaries saw Mr Tinubu off.

According to the report, the President was transported in a Dassault Falcon 8X aircraft with registration number 9H-GRC. 

Mr Tinubu arrived Lagos on Friday for the Eid-el Kabir festivities.
