Remove my name from APC register – Ex-Ondo councillor quits party

A former councillor in Ifedore LGA, Ondo State, Hon. Adodo Omojowo Emmanuel, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress.

He announced his resignation during a press briefing held in Akure, the state capital, where he presented a letter personally signed by him.

The ex-councillor, who once aspired to contest the chairmanship position in the council, appreciated party leaders for the opportunity to serve while he was in office.

He, however, requested that his name be removed from the party’s register at the ward, local government, state and national levels.

Adodo, who represented Ijare Ward 1, disclosed that his decision followed a persistent marginalisation and lack of inclusion within the party.

The ex-councilor said, “The sidelining of members in terms of opportunities, recognition and participation in party affairs prompted my exit.”

He added that the situation had discouraged many loyal supporters, particularly at the grassroots.

According to him, the absence of internal democracy and fairness in representation has continued to create dissatisfaction among party members.
