Ribadu mourns El-Rufai’s mother, prays for family’s strength

The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has expressed condolences to former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.
Ribadu conveyed his sympathies in a message posted Friday on his X (formerly Twitter) account, where he described the late matriarch as a caring figure who left lasting memories with those who knew her.
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, the matriarch of the El-Rufai family. I have fond memories of shared moments with her and her motherly care,” he wrote.
The NSA noted that words may be insufficient to ease the pain of such a loss, while extending his condolences to the former governor and his family.
“At a time like this, words can offer little comfort for such a profound loss. My heartfelt condolences to Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and the entire family,” Ribadu stated.
He also offered prayers for the repose of the deceased and strength for the bereaved family.
“May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, grant her eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus, and give the family the strength to bear this loss,” he added.
