Rivers may experience anarchy because Fubara disregarded court ruling – Wike

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has criticized Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, for allegedly defying a court judgement.
Wike expressed his concerns during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, emphasizing that failure to respect judicial decisions could plunge the state into chaos.
Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, highlighted the importance of adhering to the rule of law, warning that disobedience to court orders invites disorder.
“I was a governor; I have always obeyed the rule of law. You heard the governor say our state is turning into a state of anarchy where people do not follow the law. You must obey court judgements. The moment you don’t, you are inviting anarchy and violence,” Wike said.
The FCT Minister further accused Fubara of publicly admitting on national television that he would not comply with the court’s ruling.
Wike also criticized his successor’s remarks regarding the role of the police in providing security during local government elections in Rivers State.
