Ruggedman invited by police after suspension from PMAN

Nigerian rapper Ruggedman has reportedly been invited by the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Panti.

There were reports that Ruggedman was detained over an alleged dispute with the Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN).

Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu claimed that the rapper was arrested without a proper investigation.

“No proper investigation has been concluded. He and others are being maltreated. I wish to draw the attention of Nigerians to what is going on,” he said.

Earlier, PMAN had suspended Ruggedman alongside other members—JFO Baba Ojonugwa, Sunny Neji, and Zaaki Azzay—in August 2024 over alleged misconduct.
