Rumours of dumping LP, false- Obi

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has labelled as false, recent speculations suggesting he was planning to dump the party.
Obi stated this on Sunday when he donated a borehole to Pantami Sheep Market in Gombe State, insisting that he stands for peaceful resolution of issues in the party.
Speaking about the leadership crisis rocking the party, the former Anambra Governor declared that he was for peace, and believed in unity of purpose.
He added, “We are one people and our concentration should be on peace and I believe we will resolve all issues.”
Obi further disclosed that he was visiting various states of the country to provide aid to people especially Muslim faithful during the Ramadan fasting.
Recent intra-party conflicts within the Labour Party have centered around Julius Abure, the party’s chairman.
However despite claims from some members that Abure’s tenure had ended, a national convention in Anambra purportedly re-elected him, with this decision facing a major backlash from numerous party members and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), which insists on Abure’s removal.
