Sanwo-Olu celebrates Christmas, promises better Lagos in 2025

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended warm greetings to residents, especially Christians, as they join the global community in celebrating Christmas, marking the birth of Jesus Christ.
The Governor made this known on Tuesday at the Lagos House, Marina, during the presentation of a book titled “Beyond Rhetorics: Sanwo-Olu Unprecedented”.
The book, written by the Lagos State Governor’s Office Correspondents (LAGOCO), highlights the Governor’s achievements.
In his address, Governor Sanwo-Olu assured Lagosians of a more impactful governance in the coming year.
“We wish you all the very best of the season. Next year, we will work better, smarter, and bigger for the citizens of Lagos,” he said.
Expressing appreciation to LAGOCO for the book, the Governor described journalists, especially those covering the Governor’s Office, as the “real engine of growth.”
He added: “We will ensure the book reaches every nook and cranny of Lagos and even beyond. Its pages offer insights into the governance and leadership principles driving our administration and the collaborative spirit behind our vision for a better Lagos.”
Governor Sanwo-Olu also extended gratitude to the authors and contributors, reiterating his commitment to building a Lagos that serves as a hub of innovation, opportunity, and hope for future generations.
Earlier, LAGOCO Chairman, Mr. George Okojie, commended the Governor’s developmental strides across various sectors, as captured in the book. He noted that the Governor’s efforts have endeared him to Lagos residents.
The event was graced by top government officials, including Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Secretary to the State Government Barrister Mrs. Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin, Head of Service Mr. Bode Agoro, Commissioner for Information and Strategy Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, and other cabinet members.
