Sanwo-Olu congratulates Afenifere leader Reuben Fasoranti at 99

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated the leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, on the occasion of his 99th birthday.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Sanwo-Olu described Fasoranti as a leader worthy of celebration for his immense contributions to the growth and development of Yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole.

He commended Pa Fasoranti’s lasting impact, particularly in public service and education, noting that his commitment to leadership and community development is commendable.

“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Lagos State, I congratulate the Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, on his 99th birthday,” the Governor said.

“Papa Fasoranti is a respected, committed, and passionate leader. He has made a significant impact in Yorubaland and has done great work as the leader of Afenifere by steering the organisation in the right direction.

“He is one of the trusted disciples of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo. We are proud to celebrate him at 99, as reaching such an advanced age is a rare blessing from God.”

Sanwo-Olu concluded by praying that God would continue to grant Pa Fasoranti good health, wisdom, and strength to continue serving the Yoruba people and leading Afenifere.
