Sanwo-Olu opens Irele Tower to boost Lagos economy

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has unveiled a new commercial complex in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, located in Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos.
The project, known as Irele Tower, is a nine-storey building designed to support business activities in the fast-growing industrial corridor.
The complex was developed by the Lagos Free Zone and is the first of six commercial towers planned for the area.
The building features modern office spaces, retail outlets, a rooftop café, terraces and a multi-level car park.
Speaking at the inauguration, Sanwo-Olu said the project shows the importance of collaboration between the government and private sector.
He added that the tower will support businesses in logistics, maritime trade and export services, especially with its proximity to the Lekki Deep Seaport.
The governor also noted that the project will help boost economic activities and create more opportunities for investors in Lagos.
In her remarks, the Managing Director of Lagos Free Zone, Adesuwa Ladoja, said construction of the project started in 2022 and was completed with full facilities ready for use.
