Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday appealed to the Lagos State House of Assembly to sustain its support for his administration to enable the completion of ongoing projects across the state.

He made the appeal at the 19th Executive and Legislative Parley held at Eko Hotels & Suites, organised by the Office of Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement, with the theme “Equal Participation in Governance.”

Sanwo-Olu emphasised the importance of collaboration between the executive and legislative arms in delivering the THEMES+ Agenda, noting that such synergy has driven key achievements of his administration.

The governor commended Speaker Mudashiru Obasa and members of the Assembly for maintaining a cordial working relationship, which he said has enabled the passage of critical laws supporting infrastructure development and fiscal reforms.

According to him, legislative backing, including budget approvals, oversight functions and constituency engagements, has provided the foundation for many of the administration’s programmes and policies.

He, however, urged lawmakers to remain committed in the remaining months of his tenure, stressing that ongoing legislative actions and oversight responsibilities would shape the final outcomes of his administration.

Sanwo-Olu also disclosed plans to publish a comprehensive “State of Lagos Report” by the third quarter of the year to provide a transparent account of his administration’s achievements and outstanding goals.

Earlier, the Special Adviser on Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement, Dr. Afolabi Abiodun Tajudeen, highlighted key interventions of the office, including the Eko Cares financial assistance initiative and the Mother, Infant and Child Development Programme, noting that both have significantly impacted vulnerable residents through improved access to welfare support and primary healthcare services.
