Sanwo-Olu to officially flag off re-election campaign Saturday

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State is set to officially flag off his re-election campaign at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Onikan, Lagos on Saturday.
The flag off would have in attendance all local government chairmen, state party executives, members of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), APC local and ward executives and party faithful.
In a media chat with WesternPost on Friday, the State Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Seye Oladejo, said there is robust security arrangement to ensure the security of participants and also to ensure the free flow of traffic in the area.
Oladejo said that the flag off would be a platform to further inform and educate Lagosians on the achievements of the state government under the leadership of Governor Sanwo-Olu, adding that the achievements of his administration would be the basis for his re-election.
“All is set for the performing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to flag off his re-election campaign on Saturday. The flag off will ignite his campaign at the grassroots. Expect to hear from him directly his achievements that would be the basis of his re-election. Mr Governor has performed. His campaign message will be about projects completion, consolidating the THEMES agenda and rising the greater Lagos.
“On security, we have a security committee in place that is headed by the immediate past Commissioner of Police in the state, AIG Hakeem Odumosu (rtd). As we have a successful APC presidential campaign rally in Lagos few days ago, so also we would have it tomorrow. I can assure you that everyone will be secured and the programme will not cause any traffic in and around the area,” Oladejo said.
WesternPost recalled that the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, at a media briefing to herald the flag off, said the theme of the re-election campaign for Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat is: ”A Greater Lagos Rising!”.
Omotoso said the theme indicated the continuation of what the present administration promised in 2019 and had been implementing.
