Sanwo-Olu to receive 2024 APC-Africa Democracy Award
The governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been nominated for the esteemed APC-Africa Democracy Award 2024.
The nomination was conferred by the Association of Political Consultants Africa (APC-Africa) for recognition of his steadfast contributions to advancing democracy and impactful leadership within the State and across Africa.
A letter signed by the Secretary to Lagos State Government, Barr. Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, said State Government expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as a testament to Governor Sanwo-Olu’s resilience, hard work, and unwavering dedication to the principles of good governance and service to the people.
Meanwhile, the Governor is also set to deliver the keynote address at the Diamond Award Gala Dinner scheduled for December 13, 2024, in Tanzania.
The event will provide an opportunity for Governor Sanwo-Olu to share insights and experiences with leaders and stakeholders from across the continent.

“The award reinforces Governor Sanwo-Olu’s position as a key advocate for democratic values and sustainable development in Africa”, said Salu-Hundeyin.
