By Adeola Ogunrinde –
Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will on Wednesday unveil a newly completed 420-unit housing project at Ajara, Badagry.
The commissioning of the Lagos State Housing Estate, Ajara Phase 1, will further increase the stock of model housing units in the state and cater to the accommodation needs of over 2,000 residents.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, during a media chat with reporters in his office on Tuesday.
According to him, the estate comprises 420 apartments, featuring one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units.
Akinderu-Fatai explained that the project aligns with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to providing affordable and quality housing, as promised during his campaign, and to completing all ongoing housing projects across the state.
He expressed delight at the project’s completion, highlighting its potential to positively impact the community’s economy.
The commissioner appreciated prospective subscribers for their patience and trust in the administration. He also advised interested applicants to visit the Estate Department of the Ministry at Block 3, the Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, for inquiries and warned them against dealing with fraudsters, noting that the Ministry does not engage agents for the sale of its housing units.
