Senate leader Bamidele urges APC members to stay united

The Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, has cautioned members of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State against allowing political ambitions to divide the party.
Bamidele gave the warning on Friday at the APC Central Senatorial District meeting held in Ado Ekiti.
He said opposition parties were watching closely and could take advantage of any internal crisis within the ruling party. “Opposition elements are waiting to exploit any crack in our fold. We must not give them that opportunity,” he said.
The Senate Leader equally thanked party leaders for adopting him as a consensus candidate, describing it as recognition of his contributions.
He, however, urged aspirants, especially those contesting for the House of Representatives, to remain loyal even if they fail to secure the ticket. “Only one person will emerge, and those who do not succeed should not see themselves as failures. Their time will come,” Bamidele added.
He assured members that the party would follow due process in selecting candidates through consensus or direct primaries.
Similarly, the APC State Chairman, Sola Elesin, and the Secretary to the State Government, Habibat Adubiaro, emphasised unity and pledged fairness in the party’s processes.
