Senate to receive ministerial list within 48 hours – Bamidele

Senate Majority Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, has said the ministerial list of President Bola Tinubu will be presented to the Senate within the next 48 hours.

Speaking at a book presentation to mark his 60th birthday in Abuja, Bamidele said the president personally informed him when he called to wish him a happy birthday.

He said the President called him on phone around 10:03am that he will not be able to attend the birthday lecture and book presentation because of the communication he needed to submit to the Senate in the next 48 hours.

“Let me tell you and you must encourage me, I need to make myself unavailable for the next 48 hours because a correspondence must come to the Senate, a very crucial correspondence,” Bamidele quoted Tinubu as saying.

The Senate Leader also added: “So Mr President prayed for me. We should tell the rest of Nigerians to pray for him to be able to make the right decision within the next 24 hours so that when Nigerians hear the list of his ministers, they will say ‘yes, this is uncommon’. And join us to pray for Mr President. He needed to be away from any kind of influence.”
