Senator Eshinlokun-Sanni joins Lagos GAC

A former Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District, Sen. Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni, has been appointed to the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The appointment was disclosed in a congratulatory message shared on Facebook by Ibrahim Obanikoro, son of former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro.

Ibrahim, a former member of the House of Representatives, described the appointment as a reflection of Eshinlokun-Sanni’s loyalty, integrity, and distinctive leadership style over the years.

He noted that the inclusion of the senator in the GAC adds significant value to the council, given his wealth of experience in governance and public service.

According to him, the council has gained a seasoned statesman capable of contributing meaningfully to its decision-making processes.

In his statement, he wrote: “Dear Distinguished Senator Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni, the news of your acceptance as a member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), the highest political decision-making body in Lagos State, came to me with great delight, though it was by no means a surprise.

“Having served meritoriously as Local Government Chairman, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, where you rose to become Deputy Speaker, and now as the Senator representing Lagos Central, your elevation to this highly respected body is a natural progression and a testament to your exceptional leadership, loyalty, and integrity. I have no doubt whatsoever in your capacity to contribute meaningfully at this level, and I am confident that the GAC has gained a truly valuable and experienced statesman in your person.

“As you join the distinguished team, I pray that Almighty God continues to grant you the wisdom, strength, and discernment required to help shape the future of our great party and the progress of Lagos State. May He continue to guide, guard, and protect you in this important assignment.”
