Senator Tinubu preaches love, compassion in Easter message

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of the President-elect, has urged Nigerians to reflect and radiate the values of love, compassion, sacrifice, peace, and forgiveness as they celebrate Easter.

In a statement released on Thursday, Tinubu reminded Nigerians that Easter is a season for the joyful reminder of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, a sacrifice made for the atonement of our sins, which is a priceless demonstration of his love for humanity.

“As we celebrate the Risen Christ, we must strive to reflect and radiate his values in our lives. We must imbibe his life of love, compassion, sacrifice, peace and forgiveness and make these attributes the guiding principles of our lives,” she said.

Tinubu also called on Nigerians to use this occasion to pray for the peace and prosperity of Nigeria and the sustenance of democracy. She expressed her hope and expectation that this Easter celebration would usher in a period of abundance, love, joy, and peace to all Nigerians.

“I hereby wish all Nigerians a blessed Easter celebration,” she added.
