Seun Okinbaloye’s excesses and unethical conduct , Kola Amzat

As we enter a new week, rumor is rife that Seun Okinbaloye, the ace journalist in the employment of Channels TV has been relieved of his duty.
It was reported that his employer had to sacrifice him in order to prevent their Broadcasting License from been withdrawn by the Federal Authority.
He was alleged to have displayed high level of indiscretion in the ways & manners he attacked and lambasted federal government with regards to the present situation, with specific reference to the biting economic situation in the land and spate of kidnapping around the country, as well as capping up his attack by giving a damning personal opinion, that Nigerians have lost confidence in the government.
What an effrontery and sense of self-delusion and importance!
As much as this writer sympathizes with the middle aged TV political correspondent, there exists no doubt that the government response was appropriate and germane, as it’s crystal clear that the Journalist crossed the line.
Truth must be told. Being a TV Journalist doesn’t give him the latitude to be reckless, unprofessional, uncouth and insolent, as well as being a loose cannon.
The broadcast where he made those submissions could conveniently incite Nigerians against the government, with a potential for widespread violence, pandemonium and unrest across the country.
It’s also instructive to submit that, the time he chose for the airing of the broadcast was totally reprehensible and condemnable, as it coincided with the time when some disgruntled Nigerians, as well as hoodlums and miscreants all over are vowing to unleash protest across the land with the expectation to bringing the country to her knees.
Which government would allowed the Journalist and his cohorts this much latitude to precipitate brigandage and pandemonium in the land through reckless and unguarded pronouncements?
It’s also important to note that the Journalist has converted that celebrated TV program-Politics Today to a platform where he harasses and terrorizes illustrious Nigerians, as well as lambasts and casts doubts and aspersions on governments and their agencies, as he had recently done to Tinubu administration.
For crying out loud, do we conclude that Okinbaloye is oblivious of the under-listed feats this government have recorded within 13 months in office?
