Shehu Sani tackles PDP, LP NASS members for lack of visibility

By Innocent Raphael
Former Senator Shehu Sani has sharply criticized lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) for what he described as an alleged lack of visibility and engagement in the National Assembly.
In a recent post on his X social media account, Sani expressed disappointment in the opposition’s performance, suggesting that they have failed to meet public expectations.
Sani, who previously represented Kaduna State, highlighted the dominant presence of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) members in legislative activities.
He stated, “Ruling party lawmakers are visible in the National Assembly. Opposition lawmakers are invisible in the National Assembly.”
The former senator’s remarks have sparked discussions about the effectiveness and visibility of opposition parties in Nigeria’s legislative process.
Observers note that active participation from all political parties is essential for a balanced and democratic legislative environment.
