Sheriff Banki charges youths to play active roles in 2023 election

The Convener, National Youths Inclusive In Governance Organisation, Sheriff Banki has charged Nigerian  youths to play active roles such that will determine the sustainability of the nation’s democracy as the general election gathers momentum.

Banki gave the charge while addressing South West youths at a political  forum held in Ibadan, saying now is the time for them to act and determine who represent them as president and state governors in the forthcoming election.

He said what informed the programme was the need to bring youths irrespective of religion and ethnic differences  together for the liberation and integration of the nation and to pursue a common goal at a critical time like this.

According to him, the ethnic, religion  and tribal sentiments were a deliberate strategy to  make the people unable to live without them.

He noted that Nigeria has an increasing  youths population and admonished them to make use of the opportunity  at their disposals to participate in reshaping the country’s democracy and elections by using their strength to chat a new course for the way forward.
